| OVERVIEW>>
North
Cambridge Catholic High School began in 1921 as a parish school
educating the children of immigrants in Cambridge (and has
operated at different times under different names). In 1957,
it began functioning as a Boston Archdiocesan Central School,
but in 2004 the school converted to the Cristo Rey model in
an effort to strengthen its financial standing. Today the
school's 260 students, who represent Hispanic, African-American,
Haitian, Asian, and White segments of the population, help
defray the cost of their tuition by participating in the school's
Corporate Internship Program while continuing to complete
requirements in the school's traditionally rigorous curriculum.
