| OVERVIEW>>
De La Salle North Catholic became the second Cristo Rey model
school in the United States when it opened its doors in fall,
2001. The school is operated by the San Francisco District
of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, who are often referred
to as the De La Salle Christian Brothers. De La Salle opened
its doors four years agao to 71 first-year students and is
now a fully constituted school serving four classes and more
than 300 students. The school serves a racially diverse group
of young men and women who might not have access to private,
college preparatory, Catholic education without the opportunity
to help defray their school's operating costs by participating
in the innovative Corporate Internship Program.
