Our
Educational Model
What
does it mean to be a Cristo Rey model school? This is one of the
most common questions fielded by the Cristo Rey Network® staff. This
page has been designed as a way to address that question. The easiest
way to answer the question is to look at what learning outcomes Cristo
Rey Network schools aim for in their graduates. The following documents explain
in great detail the Cristo Rey Network's unique educational model.

Rey Network Normative Learning Outcomes Model view
summary
Summary: During the 2003-04 school year, school
leaders worked with the firm of Race & Associates to answer
this question. The result is a Normative Student Learning Outcomes
Model of the Cristo Rey Network schools that identifies a common
core of learning outcomes and the route to these outcomes. This
model encompasses both the elements that speak directly to a Cristo
Rey Network® student's education as well as elements related to Network
organizational structures and processes that apply to all schools.
It gives a common language on the fundamental goals of a Cristo
Rey model education and concomitant student learning and long-term
outcomes. The model highlights strategies that help achieve each
outcome and identifies a common set of indicators to show that the
outcomes have been met.
