Postsecondary Initatives>
The Cristo Rey Network’s dramatic expansion over the last few years could not have beenpossiblewithout generous support from colleges and universities around the country. They have contributed to our mission at different levels and in different ways. They have helped host conferences, create new scholarships, lead professional development for faculty / staff, introduced the Network to new board members, just to list a few. While it is clear that many colleges find our students and mission attractive, we are still not sure that we fully appreciate the full range of reasons why universities want to partner with us. For some, it may simply be that they see our schools as a rich source of diversity for their campuses. For others, our students provide them with a unique opportunity to more effectively fulfill their mission. For still others, it may be that they would like to contribute to new research efforts focused on our students’ success in college. Whatever the reason they have chosen to partner with us, we are grateful for their ongoing support.

Beyond simply thanking colleges and universities for their specific expressions of support, we have decided to also create special partner designations to honor them for their commitment to partnering with us in the past, present, and into the future. We are calling this new effort to deepen postsecondary collaboration the “University Partners Initiative.” We have chosen to launch this new initiative with a select group of colleges and universities from across the country that have distinguished themselves as leaders in supporting our work over the past few years. The 2009 Cristo Rey Network University Partners are:
Founding National Partners
Boston College, DePaul University, Fordham University, Georgetown University, Loyola University Chicago, Marquette University, Wesleyan University
National Partners
Bentley University, College of the Holy Cross, College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, Creighton University, Dominican University, Fairfield University, Harvard University, Saint Mary’s College, Saint Mary’s College of California, Santa Clara University, St. Peter’s College, St. Thomas University, Suffolk University, University of Saint Mary
