Summary: Kansas City is one step closer to opening a Cristo
Rey Model School.
If approved, the school will open in 2006 with a freshman class.
The students of the school would work 1 day a week and go to school
4 days a week which in turn, would cover 70% of their tuition costs
to go to a private college prep high school.
Recently, the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth agreed to sponsor
the school, "deeming it a perfect fit with their mission to
serve the poor. "
