BJ Cassin

B.J. has been a venture capitalist for more than 30 years. Two decades ago, he founded and chaired the Cassin Educational Initiative Foundation, providing start-up funds for 25 Cristo Rey high schools nationwide. As a Founding Director of the Cristo Rey Network in 2003, B.J. invested significant time and philanthropic support as an instrumental member of each school's feasibility study, therefore receiving the Cristo Rey Network Founders Award in 2010. In 2015, he co-founded the Drexel Fund, a venture philanthropy fund that invests and partners in the growth of high quality, financially sustainable networks of faith-based and other private schools. Currently, B.J. sits on a number of private company boards and is on the Investment Committee of the Western Province of the Jesuits. He graduated from Holy Cross College, is married and the father of 5 children, with 11 grandchildren, and resides in Los Altos Hills, California.
