Preston Kendall is President of Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep in Waukegan, IL. Since his tenure began in 2011, he has led the school through a successful turnaround that has positioned the institution for long-term academic and operational success.
As part of the founding leadership team of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago in 1996, he served as vice-president and fulfilled responsibilities of CFO and Director of the Corporate Work Study Program.
In 2004, he became the first full-time employee of the Cristo Rey Network, founded to replicate the Cristo Rey education model. After helping to open the first 19 schools across the U.S., Kendall left the Network to be part of the founding team of its 20th school, Christ the King Jesuit High School on Chicago’s west side. He served as the Vice President for Corporate Internships for both Christ the King and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School from 2007 to 2011, running a single Corporate Work Study Program that serves more than 900 students.
In addition to his service to the Cristo Rey Network, Preston is also a trustee of Arrupe College of Loyola University and Cristo Rey Jesuit HS in Milwaukee. Mr. Kendall received his Bachelor of Arts in English and Writing from Northwestern University and a Master’s of Management from its Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
