Vice President of Corporate Work Study

Position Summary

The Vice President, Corporate Work Study will research, solicit, and develop relationships with potential national job partners to support schools' jobs sales and revenue generation. The VPCWS will help in the introduction and procurement of job placement for the schools. The VPCWS will also oversee the refinement and implementation of the workforce training curriculum and assessments for students, facilitating collaboration among Corporate Work Study staff and academic faculty.

Key Responsibilities

School Leadership - The Vice President, Corporate Work Study will lead through influence to ensure the success of 40+ Corporate Work Study Directors and 125+ Corporate Work Study Coordinators to:

  • Develop and oversee a world-class professional development program for the Network, including developing and implementing an internal pipeline program for high-potential Corporate Work Study Vice President candidates
  • Develop Corporate Work Study Directors and Coordinators through impactful feedback and coaching
  • Support selection, onboarding, and training of new CWSP school leaders
  • Facilitate collaboration among school leaders and schools to scale effective practices
  • Guide the implementation of technical solutions (e.g. WorkStudyForce) to improve Corporate Work Study Program Effectiveness

Network Leadership - This individual will also manage the national office Corporate Work Study team to deliver on Corporate Work Study performance objectives, identify key initiatives in job sales, job retention, program operations and workforce training curriculum.

As a member of the senior leadership team, the VPCWS will make key decisions related to the Network’s strategic planning process, participate in school Mission Effectiveness Reviews, and ensure Network-wide compliance with the Department of Labor regulations.

Every member of the Network national office team exists to serve the staff and students at the schools consistent with the mission of the Cristo Rey Network. The VPCWS is responsible for displaying and promoting best-in-class service.

Experience and Expertise

Influence Without Authority – Successful experience influencing organizations and individuals without a direct reporting structure. Ability to set goals in a federated organization and drive results in a decentralized model.

Team Leadership & Management - Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills, including a previous track record of leading a team to be successful. Strong experience leading through influence. Industrious leader with detail-oriented organization skills.

Business Development – Proven entrepreneurial executive leader with deep knowledge of sales processes and best practices. Understanding of ROI and ability to use metrics to drive results and growth. Substantial experience leading a successful financial resource development program. Ability to sell the Cristo Rey mission to corporate partners and generate revenue through those partnerships.
