A Communication to Cristo Rey Network Friends and Family | March 2023 |
Dear Friends, As Catholic high schools focused on college preparedness and workforce readiness, our Catholic identity and Mission Effectiveness Standards ground us in our shared mission: The Cristo Rey Network of high schools delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources, uniquely integrating rigorous academic curricula with four years of professional work experience and support to and through college. We partner with educators, businesses and communities to enable students to fulfill their aspirations for a lifetime of success. We are pleased to have secured a new partner in our sustained efforts in mission and identity. Today, we announce that Fr. Jim Gartland, SJ will join the national office team as the Cristo Rey Network's Chief Mission and Identity Officer. As Fr. Gartland completes his service as Pastor at St. Mary Student Parish in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we are delighted to welcome him back to Cristo Rey! [ READ OUR ANNOUNCEMENT ] |

2023 Annual Meeting: Leadership Without Limits |
From April 18-21, we look forward to welcoming more than 300 Cristo Rey Network school leaders to Philadelphia for professional development programming, networking, and best practice sharing. Each year, school leaders from across our network gather together at our Annual Meeting to advance critical initiatives, build cohesion across schools and cohorts, and deepen our collective impact. Large group joint sessions, informative workshops, and independent cohort work - led by internal and external subject-matter experts - will address real challenges and advance common solutions to strengthen all Cristo Rey schools. Next month's newsletter will profile highlights from the week. |
