José Madrid is an associate attorney with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Prior to private practice, José served as a law clerk for the Honorable Justice Monica M. Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court and the Honorable Laura A. Cordero of the District of Columbia Superior Court.

José earned his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as an Articles Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal.  He graduated cum laude and class marshal from Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Georgetown College and a minor in Latin American Studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service.
