To celebrate and recognize the incredible work of Cristo Rey colleagues nationwide, the Cristo Rey Network national office is proud to announce the launch of the Outrageously Bold Awards — an annual recognition program that honors outstanding staff performance and impact across Cristo Rey campuses.

Inspired by the visionary spirit of the Cristo Rey Credo and the words of Cristo Rey Network Chair Emeritus Fr. John Foley, SJ, the awards aim to highlight the extraordinary contributions of those who embody bold hope, radical love, and tireless commitment to Cristo Rey’s mission.

This award honors those who bring the Cristo Rey mission to life in extraordinary ways,” said Kelby Woodard, President and CEO of the Cristo Rey Network. “Their dedication, excellence, and bold belief in our students drive the transformation we strive for across our schools. They are a powerful reminder of what’s possible when purpose and talent come together.”

Each Cristo Rey school will honor one winner — an individual or team — from any department, whether a teacher, office staff member, CWS leader, advancement officer, or beyond. Winners are selected based on exemplary performance and outstanding results, with a process that may include peer nomination and leadership review.

Each school will receive materials from the national office to honor the locally named award recipient. The celebratory package is not limited to a $1,000 gift card and a signature pennant.

This initiative launched in early April, with awards presented by each school before the end of the academic year. All 40 Outrageously Bold Awardees will be publicly announced in June.
