The Cristo Rey Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyler Mayer as Chief of Corporate Work Study.

As Chief of Corporate Work Study, Tyler will play a pivotal role in cultivating, managing, and advancing the Network’s signature Corporate Work Study Program to strengthen Cristo Rey’s brand and sustain and grow its mission. Central to this leadership will be overseeing the Network’s modernization plan, a forward-looking strategy designed to ensure the Corporate Work Study model remains innovative and competitive in a rapidly evolving economy. As part of this role, Tyler will help equip schools with tools, scalable sales strategies, and best practices that align with emerging industries and the evolving workforce needs of employer partners, positioning the Network to expand opportunities for students while sustaining long-term impact.

“We are proud to welcome Tyler as our next Chief of Corporate Work Study,” said President & CEO Kelby Woodard. “Tyler brings the rare combination of mission conviction and operational discipline that this role requires. Over the past six years at Providence Cristo Rey, he demonstrated what strong, focused leadership can accomplish within the Corporate Work Study model. He understands the model’s transformative potential and has consistently demonstrated the willingness to refine what works and innovate where it makes sense. I am confident he will lead the next chapter of Corporate Work Study with a bold vision that preserves the distinctiveness that sets it apart.”

During his tenure in Indianapolis, Tyler led a significant renewal of Providence Cristo Rey High School, strengthening enrollment, fundraising performance, student outcomes, and Corporate Work Study vitality. He guided the school through a critical period with steady leadership and a clear focus on long-term sustainability.

Prior to Providence Cristo Rey, Tyler served for more than a decade at Bishop Chatard High School in senior leadership roles, including Executive Vice President and Vice President of Institutional Advancement. His experience spans advancement, operations, and student life, equipping him with both the strategic perspective and practical insight needed to lead Corporate Work Study across the Network.

"I am excited and humbled to join the Cristo Rey Network as Chief of Corporate Work Study,” remarks Tyler. “I look forward to serving schools by doing all I can to help leaders achieve their desired goals and outcomes. I firmly believe the mission and model of Cristo Rey is divinely inspired and that, through a healthy dose of God’s grace and some good old-fashioned elbow grease, we will continue to bring transformational change to remarkable young people."

Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Religion Studies. He will transition to this new role at the conclusion of the school year.
