The Class of 2025 is earning prestigious scholarships and making remarkable progress on their postsecondary journeys. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, resilience, and determination—uplifted by the unwavering support of their Cristo Rey family.

Highlights include: 1 senior named a Gates Millennium Scholar, 9 students awarded the highly competitive Posse Foundation Scholarship, 30 recognized as QuestBridge Scholars, 11 honored as Dell Scholars, and 18 awarded an Evans Scholarship.

“The Class of 2025’s accomplishments reflect the dedication of our amazing students, their families, and the incredible network of teachers, mentors, and staff who have supported them every step of the way,” said Herbert House III, Senior Manager of College Scholarships and Initiatives at Cristo Rey Network. “As we soon celebrate 30 years of Cristo Rey’s mission, it’s truly inspiring to see this class lead the way. Their achievements aren’t just about academics—they also represent the leadership, resilience, and heart that are at the core of everything we do here.”

Edwin R., a senior student at Cristo Rey San José Jesuit High School, has been admitted to Boston University and has been awarded a full, four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship (Match Scholarship). At Boston University, Edwin will major in Health Sciences because he plans to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

“Aside from giving my parents the relief of not worrying about my college expenses, becoming a National Match Scholar meant that my efforts at school have finally paid off,” said Edwin. “...This scholarship embodies [my] efforts that I’ve made within the CRSJ community and beyond; it shows how I deserved a spot in a top university just like anyone else.” Continue reading Erwin's story.
