Associate Director Of Partnership Success, Cristo Rey New York Corporate Work Study team

Dishawn, a proud member of the Cristo Rey New York High School (CRNY) Class of 2026, has come full circlehe's now serving as Associate Director of Partnership Success on CRNY's Corporate Work Study (CWS) team. Born in Belize, Dishawn moved to New York City at the age of 12. He was drawn to CRNY during an admissions presentation in eighth grade, when he first learned about the Corporate Work Study Program; the opportunity to gain professional experience (especially the idea of working on Wall Street as a teenager) immediately caught his attention.

True to his goal, Dishawn ended up on Wall Street as a freshman, noting he felt "immense responsibility" working at a law firm where his principal's father was a partner. That early experience set the tone for what would become a remarkable professional journey; he later worked at an architecture firm and in banking. One of those banking parnters remains part of CRNY's CWS program todayand Dishawn now manages that very relationship, marking a powerful full-circle moment.

After graduating from CRNY, Dishawn attended Wheeling University where he studied criminal justice. Following college, he worked on political campaigns in New York City. A fortuitous LinkedIn message from then-Director of CWS, inquiring about candidates for a Relationship Manager role, led Dishawn right back to CRNY. He applied, joined the team, and has since continued to grow as a leader within the Corporate Work Study Program.

Beyond his work with CWS, Dishawn remains deeply committed to service and mentorship. He coaches girls' basketball and moderates the Ignatian Family Teach-In social justice club, continuing to live out CRNY's mission both on and off campus.
