Dominique Jordan
Verbum Dei Jesuit High School ‘09 (Los Angeles)
VP & Wealth Advisor, The Jordan Group at J.P.Morgan Wealth Management
Los Angeles, CA
In July 2024, Dominique was appointed to the Cristo Rey Network Board of Directors as a Graduate Director. As a proud alumnus, his story not only has come full circle, but continues to unfold. In addition to the national Board, he holds a local Board position at Verbum Dei Jesuit, where he now offers strategic financial guidance.
"I credit my Corporate Work Study experience as one of the main reasons that I’m in the finance field. My industry is built on maintaining and supporting relationships. Learning to navigate prospective clients in the finance industry at my CWS placement was the best learning lesson I’ve had.”
In his local and national leadership roles, Dominique brings a dynamic 10-year career, with a focused mission to guide individuals and families through the challenges of creating, protecting, and distributing wealth during shifts in the global economy.
In 2023, he started the Jordan Group at J.P.Morgan Wealth Management after spending two years at First Republic, where he was a Vice President and Wealth Advisor. Previously, he was an Associate Vice President, Regional Training Officer and Advisor at Morgan Stanley, as well as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch.
"My former CWS supervisor at Merrill Lynch, Brad Dykes, sent me the position application at Morgan Stanley. Those relationships at Merrill Lynch, where I worked in high school, were influential in my role at Morgan Stanley and where I am today.”
Dominique grew up with a deep appreciation for people’s hard work and determination to improve their lives. During his formative years at Verbum Dei Jesuit High School, he was introduced to wealth management opportunities through his CWS placement at Merrill Lynch.
Dominique graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a B.S. in Finance and Management, and a concentration in New and SmallBusiness.
Active in his local community for many years, he founded the DJ|JD Foundation, a for-purpose organization that aims to uplift and mold high school students to develop an understanding of financial markets and goal setting. In addition, Dominique serves as an active member of Georgetown University’s Alumni Club of Los Angeles, Gates Millennium Scholars.
"I bring Verbum Dei with me wherever I go. My Cristo Rey experience was life-changing. Overall, I learned a lot about myself. That is the most important thing I could take away from the experience, besides a diploma. The school teaches you qualities and principles that are essential to carry into the real world.”
