Cristo Rey Network partners with BoardOnTrack, a subscription based governance platform that combines performance management, a powerful toolset and a data-driven approach to build and sustain outstanding nonprofit boards.
July 31, 2018 (CHICAGO) – Today, the Cristo Rey Network announced a partnership with BoardOnTrack, a data-driven training platform that helps build effective boards through custom, one-on-one governance coaching and support, powered by an online board operating system. Generously funded by the William and Mary Ross Foundation, the partnership kicked off with the following 11 Cristo Rey schools this month:
*Cristo Rey Baton Rouge Franciscan High School
Cristo Rey Boston High School
Cristo Rey Columbus High School
Cristo Rey Kansas City High School
Cristo Rey New York High School
Cristo Rey Richmond High School
Cristo Rey Tampa High School
Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School (Birmingham)
Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School (Lawrence)
Saint Martin de Porres High School (Cleveland)
Verbum Dei High School (Los Angeles)
As the Cristo Rey Network continues to grow the number of high quality seats accessible to more students, with a dual focus on quality and sustainability, success is reliant on strong, sustainable governing boards at every school.
"In an effort to provide more robust support to Cristo Rey schools around Board governance, we are pleased to begin our partnership with BoardOnTrack," said Elizabeth Goettl, President and CEO of the Cristo Rey Network. "BoardOnTrack's user-friendly tools and comprehensive framework will help to facilitate the work of Cristo Rey Boards across the country."
Over the past 18 years, BoardOnTrack has worked with 500 school boards and developed a methodology grounded in a capability maturity model. Through an annual membership, each Board and President is paired with a governance expert who serves as a personal trainer, providing professional development and support to accelerate the Board's performance and President's skill in harnessing the power of the board.
"BoardOnTrack is dedicated to closing the achievement gap by strengthening governance nationwide," said Marci Cornell-Feist, BoardOnTrack Founder & CEO. "With aligned missions, we are thrilled to be working with the Cristo Rey Network to increase the organization's long-term sustainability and deepen organizational strength in a systematic way."
