The Cristo Rey Network announced school recipients for its Capital Projects Fund.
October 17, 2018 (Chicago) – Today, the Cristo Rey Network announced school recipients for its Capital Projects Fund, granted to Cristo Rey schools for infrastructure needs that will enable schools to reach full enrollment or increase current enrollment. This fund, made possible by the generosity of several investors, helps the Cristo Rey Network to realize its goal of serving 14,000 students by 2020.
Three Cristo Rey schools will benefit from this grant for FY19, including DePaul Cristo Rey High School (Cincinnati), Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, & ICA Cristo Rey Academy (San Francisco).
The Capital Projects Fund awards grants up to $50,000 to schools that (1) have well-developed projects in the later stages; (2) have raised at least 50% of the total project cost; and (3) have clearly articulated strategy to achieve enrollment capacity. The Fund launched in October 2017 and granted four schools funding totaling $200,000 in FY18.
