The Cristo Rey Network announced school recipients for the organization's Capital Projects Fund.
October 10, 2019 (Chicago) - Today, the Cristo Rey Network announced school recipients for the organization's Capital Projects Fund, aimed to increase student enrollment at Cristo Rey schools.
With the generosity of several investors to help us realize our strategic goal of serving 14,000 students across 40 schools by 2020, the Fund provides grants to schools for permanent, brick and mortar infrastructure needs that will enable existing schools to reach full enrollment or increase current enrollment.
2019 Capital Project Fund grantee schools include:
Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School (Birmingham)
Saint Martin de Porres High School (Cleveland)
Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee
De La Salle North Catholic High School (Portland)
"In addition to opening new high schools, we are resolutely focused on serving more deserving young men and women in our 37 current schools," said Cristo Rey Network President and CEO Elizabeth Goettl. "The purposeful projects underway at these five schools will increase their collective enrollment by 565 students."
The Capital Projects Fund awards grants to schools that (1) have well-developed projects in the later stages; (2) have raised at least 50% of the total project cost; (3) have clearly articulated strategy to achieve increased enrollment; and (4) are in compliance with the Cristo Rey Network's Mission Effectiveness Standards.
